Cost calculation compared high pressure sodium light with solar led street light

(150W high pressure sodium light compared to 60W solar led street light)

Example: there will be 3km road where it need to be installed high pressure sodium light or solar led street light in both sides. If we need to install the lamp at every 30m, then the total amount of lamps need 202 units.

If the unit price of 150W high pressure sodium light is USD100, then total amount is US$20,200(100*202=20200). If the unit price of 60W solar led street light is USD300, then total amount is US$60,600(300*202=60600).

3.Let’s calculate the maintenance cost between this two kind of light source. For high pressure sodium light, they contain mercury, not eco-friendly, and lifespan of light source is ≤4000h, basically you need to change it every year. Based on the calculation above, let’s see the total annual cost of installing 150W high pressure sodium light, It is US$646,359(20,200+600,000+22,119+4040=646,359)
